Brian Kennedy
Executive Director
Brian Kennedy serves as Executive Director of Derma Care Access Network, an advocacy coalition that sponsors educational initiatives and advocacy programs designed to encourage informed policymaking about the benefits of access to approved therapies and appropriate clinical care.
As a recognized leader in health policy advocacy, Mr. Kennedy has overseen the development of dozens of awareness and advocacy initiatives across a wide array of conditions including those relating to inflammation, cardio-kidney-metabolic health, neurological conditions, skin health and rare diseases.
For over two decades, Mr. Kennedy’s professional career has spanned the practice of law, campaign politics, corporate public affairs and health advocacy. He has served as the organizer, manager and/or a strategic consultant to dozens of non-profit organizations, coalitions and societies, including the Clinical Neurological Society of America and the Alliance for Patient Access.
Killian Lozach
Development Director
Killian Lozach serves as Development Director of the Derma Care Access Network, where he supports strategic growth, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement to advance policies that improve access to care and innovation for people living with skin diseases.
Killian brings a dynamic background in health care advocacy, government relations, and business development. He has led and supported legislative and policy initiatives related to drug access and reimbursement, cultivated bipartisan relationships with policymakers and industry leaders, and directed advocacy and coalition-building efforts across a range of health care and patient-focused organizations.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from American University and is currently pursuing his MBA.
Karissa Charles
Communications Director
Karissa Charles serves as Communications Director of Derma Care Access Network. She works to produce several educational and informative content to inform stakeholders in the skin disease community. Karissa has extensive years of experience of developing several health equity and literacy resources in various health care non-profits.
Karissa received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University and a Master of Science in Health Promotion Management from American University.
Aminah Shakir
Digital Director
Aminah serves as Digital Director of Derma Care Access Network, where she leads strategy and content for DCAN’s social media and other digital platforms.
Aminah graduated from the University of Mary Washington and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. She is a Connecticut native and currently resides in Leesburg, VA.
Winnie Tardy
Program Director
Winnie serves as Program Director of the Derma Care Access Network. She works to support the coalition’s programming and stakeholder engagement.
Winnie graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Equity and a minor in Political Science. She is a Houston native and currently resides in Washington, D.C.
